An MoU worth $200,163 for joint cooperation was signed between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and World Vision International

Today, in morning, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with Leonard Eisen, the Program Director of World Vision International and signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation.
At the outset, Alhaj Turabi Sahb welcomed the delegation from the aforementioned organization, emphasizing the swift and transparent implementation of humanitarian projects. He stated that the people of the country are in great need of assistance and urged organizations to make increased efforts to secure more aid from their donors.
Meanwhile, Leonard Eisen, the Program Director of the organization, provided details about the project, stating that it is planned to be implemented in the Qaisar district of Faryab province. Through this program, individuals capable of working will receive cash assistance in exchange for performing public works, while those unable to work will also receive cash aid.
It is worth noting that under this memorandum, cash assistance amounting to $200,163 will be provided to both those capable of working and those who are not. Specifically, 275 vulnerable families in Qaisar district will receive $214 per family across five rounds, while 272 families in the same district will be given $256.8 over three months in exchange for public works.
It should also be mentioned that the project includes providing work tools for the laborers.
