CDYO Organisation and ANDMA signed an MoU Worth $360,824 for Joint Cooperation

Today on Tuesday, His Excellency Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, met with Mr. Abdul Majid Hamidi, President of the Youth Change and Development Organization (CDYO), at his office and signed a memorandum of cooperation with him.
During the meeting, Alhaj Turabi Sahb welcomed the delegation from the aforementioned organization and stated in his remarks that the needy people of Afghanistan require humanitarian assistance. He emphasized that the Authority consistently strives to facilitate the operations of aid organizations and urged these institutions to secure necessary funding from their donors to implement fundamental projects. Additionally, alongside humanitarian aid, they should also execute projects aimed at preventing risks and damages caused by natural disasters in Afghanistan. He expressed appreciation for the activities and cooperation of CDYO and added that instructions have been issued to the Authority’s provincial offices to provide necessary support for the implementation of projects by aid organizations.
Subsequently, Mr. Abdul Majid Hamidi, President of the Youth Change and Development Organization, provided detailed information about their project and expressed gratitude to the Acting Head of the Authority for facilitating this meeting and signing the memorandum. He pledged to complete the project within the designated timeframe, noting that under this initiative, a total of 17,848 needy and impoverished families in Jawzjan province will receive food and cash assistance.
It is noteworthy that at the conclusion of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation worth a total of $360,824 was signed between the two parties. Based on this agreement, food and cash assistance will be distributed in four phases to 17,848 families in the center of Jawzjan province, the city of Sheberghan, and all its districts:
Phase One: 5,438 families will receive, for six months in a single distribution, 50 kg of flour, 4.55 kg of oil, 6.25 kg of lentils, and 0.5 kg of salt.
Phase Two: 4,760 families will receive, for six months in a monthly distribution, 50 kg of flour, 4.55 kg of oil, 6.25 kg of lentils and 0.5 kg of salt.
Phase Three: 6,800 families will receive, for six months in a monthly distribution, 2,900 AFN in cash.
Phase Four: 850 families will receive, for two months in a single distribution, 100 kg of flour, 9.1 kg of oil, 12.5 kg of lentils, and 1 kg of salt.
