Today in Sunday, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the acting head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, continued efforts to assist those impacted by natural disasters and reduce associated risks. Leading a delegation, he traveled from Badakhshan Province to Panjshir Province, visiting the districts of Baharak, Jurm, Yimghan, and Khran-wa-Munjan.
During this visit, Alhaj Turabi Sahb inspected areas affected by floods and engaged in direct conversations with local residents. He listened attentively to the concerns, requests and needs of community elders. In Yimghan District, he provided one million Afghanis to the community elders under the supervision of the Badakhshan Provincial Disaster Management Directorate and in the presence of the district governor, instructing them to implement a preventive project in the affected areas as deemed appropriate.
Addressing the community elders and other affected individuals, Alhaj Turabi Sahb stated, "Although this aid may not fully meet all your needs, the message from His Excellency Amir al-Mu'minin (may Allah protect him) is clear: you are not forgotten. You are among our top priorities,m and we are working in coordination with central and international institutions to provide further assistance."
In conclusion, the residents of Yimghan District expressed gratitude for Alhaj Turabi Sahb’s assistance and attention, describing the leadership of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority as effective in addressing the needs of the affected areas.
Subsequently, Alhaj Turabi Sahb, accompanied by his delegation, visited the flood-affected areas in Baharak, Jurm, Yimghan and Khran-wa-Munjan districts. Today, they proceeded to Panjshir Province via the Anjuman Pass.
It is worth noting that Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority is consistently committed to identifying vulnerable areas, reducing risks, protecting lives and property and empowering communities through the implementation of effective projects.
