In the Dewa-Gul Valley of Chawkay District, Kunar Province, cash, food and non-food aid was distributed to 1,818 families of martyrs, the injured and those affected by the recent earthquake

A joint committee of the Disaster Management Authority and the Directorate of Labor and Social Affairs, with the support of charitable foundations, organizations and philanthropists, distributed cash, food and non-food assistance to 1,818 families of martyrs, the injured and affected households across various villages in the Dewa-Gul Valley of Chawkay District, Kunar Province.
During this process, the DRC organization provided 9,500 AFN to each of 630 families. The Dr. Nakamura Foundation supplied 73 families with one blanket, one kilogram of green tea, one man (unit of weight) of sugar, 10 liters of cooking oil, one man of beans, 50 kilograms of flour, and 24 kilograms of rice per family. The Nangarhar Province Oil Tankers Association gave 4,000 AFN to each of 11 families. The IVA mobile company distributed a total of 380,000 AFN to 190 families. The Sadaqat Charitable Foundation provided 15 kilograms of rice, 5 liters of cooking oil, and one kilogram of tomato paste to each of 80 families. The Nashkan and Nikli Utensils Association supplied a kitchen package to each of 204 families. The merchant Mujib-ul-Haq gave 5,000 AFN to each of 22 families. The Islamic Welfare Organization provided a health package to each of 573 families. The Mirwais Ziaee Company distributed 10,000 AFN to each of 10 families, and the Al-Noor Charitable Foundation gave 3,000 AFN to each of 25 families.
It is worth noting that the aid distribution was structured so that if a family had multiple martyrs or injured members, separate assistance was provided for each martyr or injured person.
It should also be mentioned that in this area, affected families receive cooked meals twice a day. The recipients of this aid express their gratitude and appreciation to the authorities and donors.
