The Director General of ANDMA held a meeting with representatives of international and domestic organizations to assist flood victims
Today, on Thursday, the Director General of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, held a coordination meeting with representatives of international and domestic aid organizations and partner institutions. The meeting focused on emergency response and the rapid delivery of assistance to families affected by the recent floods.
While welcoming the participants, Turabi Sb stated that the primary purpose of the meeting was to ensure timely and effective assistance reaches the countrymen affected by the recent floods. He noted that the agency has mobilized all its available resources and capacities for rescue operations, damage assessment, and the coordination of aid.
Turabi Sb further called on all partner organizations to accelerate their assistance and activities in all flood-affected areas in accordance with their humanitarian responsibilities, so that affected families can access the necessary support without delay. He emphasized that transparency, fairness, and effectiveness must be observed in the distribution of aid, and that all agencies should carry out their work through joint coordination.
Representatives of the aid organizations present at the meeting also assured continued cooperation with the flood-affected families. They pledged to further speed up the delivery of emergency humanitarian assistance in full coordination with Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, ensuring timely and effective support reaches those in need.
