An MoU on Joint Cooperation was Signed Between ANDMA and the Humanitarian Organization for the People of Afghanistan

Honorable Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the Director General of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, received Engineer Pamir Safi, Deputy for Projects of the Humanitarian Organization for the People of Afghanistan, at his office and signed a memorandum of understanding on joint cooperation with him.

During the meeting, Alhaj Turabi Sb emphasized the importance of coordination and cooperation among aid agencies in emergency situations. He said that the process of addressing the needs of affected and eligible people must be organized in such a way that the assistance envisaged under this memorandum reaches eligible beneficiaries with transparency and in the shortest possible time.

In response, Engineer Pamir Safi, Deputy for Projects of the Humanitarian Organization for the People of Afghanistan, expressed gratitude for the cooperation and support of the leadership and staff of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority in the implementation of projects, and provided information about the project in question. He assured that the organization would strive to fulfill the commitments set out in the memorandum with the required transparency and speed, and to carry out its implementation effectively.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the memorandum of understanding on joint cooperation was signed by both parties. Under the agreement, after a survey covering 172 families in Kandahar city and all of its districts, and with the support of the World Food Programme (WFP), the organization will, in the event of disasters and emergency situations, distribute two months of food assistance. Each family will receive 100 kilograms of flour, 10 liters of oil, 12.50 kilograms of pulses, and one kilogram of salt.

In addition, families whose patients, after recovery, are registered at World Food Programme health clinics, who also face economic hardship, and who are referred to this organization, will each receive 2,900 Afghanis for three months. Nutritious food will also be distributed to breastfeeding mothers and children under two years of age.
