The Director General of ANDMA participated and delivered a speech at the program for the introduction, review, analysis and practical implementation of the Strategic Plan for Disaster Management (2025–2029)
Today, on the morning of Tuesday, the Director General of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, His Excellency Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, participated in and addressed the program on the introduction, review, analysis and practical implementation of the Strategic Plan for Disaster Management (2025–2029). The event was attended by the General Director of Finance and Administration, His Excellency Alhaj Molvi Mohammad Alam Alimyar, along with the central directors and experts of the Authority, the President and officials of the Community World Service Asia (CWSA) organization, and representatives of the media.
In this program, His Excellency Turabi emphasized the importance of sincerity and professional knowledge in management. He clearly stated that mere commitment is not sufficient; rather, complete familiarity with relevant affairs and documents is also essential. He instructed all responsible officials to study the strategic plan with utmost care and to diligently follow up on the implementation of each provision within their respective areas of responsibility.
Furthermore, the Director General of the Authority noted that this plan was prepared in consultation with relevant institutions, and the cooperation of the CWSA organization played an important role in this process. He added that all legislative documents related to the Authority's operational framework have been finalized and are available at all levels for clarity in its work processes.
At the same time, the Director of Plans and Policies, Mullah Mohammad Jawed Abbas, spoke about the process of preparing this document and its importance, describing its implementation as crucial.
Similarly, the President of CWSA, Mohammad Sharif Hashmi, stated that this document was developed with financial support from the people of Japan (through the relevant foundation), based on the opinions of domestic experts and university professors, and was prepared with great precision.
The program concluded with presentations delivered by His Excellency Habibullah Farhang, His Excellency Mehdi Hamidi, and Professor Mohammad Roki Omari on the vision, importance, practical implementation, content and objectives of the strategic plan.
