The General Director of ANDMA Participates and Delivers Speech in the Introduction, Analysis and Explanation Program of the 2025–2029 Strategic Plan
Today in morning, on Tuesday, His Excellency Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the Director General of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, participated and delivered a speech in the program introducing, analyzing, and explaining the Administration’s Strategic Plan for 2025–2029 for partner organizations and institutions.
The event was attended by Ms. Amy Martin, the Head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN-OCHA), Namik Haydarov, Director of Akbar Organization, representatives of international organizations (IOM, WFP, UNICEF), and other representatives from partner institutions and organizations working in the field of disaster management.
In his speech, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi described the strategic plan as a binding document and emphasized full commitment to its implementation. He stated that the plan was prepared through extensive efforts and that its effective execution would be difficult without the cooperation and coordination of partner organizations. He added that Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority has provided all necessary facilities for partner organizations and humanitarian agencies, and that the doors of cooperation remain open to them. He stressed the importance of close engagement to deliver more effective services to affected populations.
Meanwhile, Ms. Amy Martin, Head of OCHA, thanked Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority for its improved disaster management and continued cooperation with partner organizations. She described disaster management as a process that requires proper coordination between Emirate departments, international organizations, institutions, and other working partners.
Mr. Namik Haydarov, the Director of Akbar Institute, stated on behalf of more than 200 non-governmental institutions: “We express our commitment to Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority to implement coordinated efforts, information exchange among partner institutions, and dialogue between governmental bodies and organizations.”
Following this, Professor Roki Omari, Program Development and Policy Expert, presented, analyzed, and explained the strategic plan to the participants. The program concluded with a question-and-answer session and the sharing of views by the attendees.
