A Joint Cooperation MoU Valued at $591,895 was Signed Between ANDMA and HIA Institute

Today in afternoon, His Excellency Mulla Nooruddin Turabi, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, met with Mr. Ahmad Khaled Omari, President of the HIA Institute, at his office and signed a joint cooperation agreement.
During the meeting, Alhaj Turabi Sahb warmly welcomed the delegation from the HIA Institute and stated that ANDMA has provided significant facilities for institutes and is fully prepared for any form of cooperation with them. He urged institutes to implement their projects quickly and transparently.
Subsequently, Mr. Ahmad Khaled Omari, President of the HIA Institute, provided details about the project, emphasizing that priority will be given to deserving families and individuals in the implementation of projects. He added that the institute’s activities will be carried out in coordination ANDMA officials, acting as a partner.
It is worth noting that at the conclusion of the meeting, a cooperation agreement valued at a total of $591,895 was signed between both parties. Under this agreement, a total of 55,186 families affected by natural disasters in the districts of Faryab province and Ghormach district of Badghis province will receive food and cash assistance in two phases as follows:
Phase One: 53,381 families will receive, on a monthly basis for one year, 2,900 Afghanis, 50 kilograms of flour, 4.72 kilograms of oil, 6.25 kilograms of lentils, and 0.5 kilograms of salt.
Phase Two: 1,805 families affected by natural disasters will receive, on a one-time basis for two months, 2,900 Afghanis in cash, 100 kilograms of flour, 9.1 kilograms of oil, 12.6 kilograms of lentils, and 1 kilogram of salt.
