A Memorandum of Understanding for Joint Cooperation was Signed Between ANDMA and ASIO Institute, Valued at $298,711

Today in afternoon, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Honorable Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with the Head of ASIO Institute, Honorable Abdul Hadi Karimi, at his office and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation.
At the beginning of the meeting, Alhaj Turabi Sahb warmly welcomed the ASIO Institute delegation, expressing gratitude for their previous collaborations. He emphasized that ANDMA has provided the necessary facilities to ensure the effective implementation of projects aimed at promptly addressing the needs of vulnerable populations. He further stated that partner institutions are expected to execute their projects on time and with full transparency.
Subsequently, Mr. Karimi provided detailed information about the project, underscoring ASIO Institute’s commitment to delivering aid to deserving individuals in a timely manner.
It is noteworthy that the MoU, valued at a total of $298,711, was signed to facilitate the distribution of cash and food assistance in multiple phases to 7,636 vulnerable and needy families in the districts and provincial center of Samangan province.
- Phase One: For 363 families, four months’ worth of aid will be distributed in a single phase, providing each family with 200 kg of flour, 18.2 kg of oil, 25 kg of lentils, and 2 kg of salt.
- Phase Two: For 6,182 families, over a six-month period, each family will receive monthly distributions of 50 kg of flour, 4.55 kg of oil, 6.25 kg of lentils, and 0.5 kg of salt.
- Phase Three: For 1,091 families, monthly cash assistance of 2,900 Afghanis per family will be distributed over six months.
