An MoU was Signed Between ANDMA and Shelter for Life International Organisation for $528,084 in Collaborative Efforts

Today On Tuesday, His Excellency Molvi Nooruddin Turabi, Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, met at his office with His Excellency Inamullah Mahboob, President of Shelter for Life International, along with Mohammad Hesam Nizam, Financial and Administrative Officer and Mir Ahmad Faizi, Project Officer.
Alhaj Turabi Sahb warmly welcomed the delegation, stating, “We highly value your assistance and are committed to fostering cooperation with institutions to create a conducive environment for their operations.” He further assured that not only would the memorandum of understanding be signed promptly, but instructions would also be issued to provincial directorates to ensure no obstacles hinder the implementation of their projects.
Subsequently, His Excellency Inamullah Mahboob, President of Shelter for Life International, expressed gratitude for the NDMA’s efficient processes and provided an overview of the organization’s mission. He emphasized, “We are always dedicated to delivering aid to those in need.”
The meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two parties, valued at a total of $528,084. Under this agreement, a total of 19,225 families in the center of Balkh Province, Mazar-e-Sharif city, and all its districts will receive cash and food assistance in four phases:
- Phase 1: 915 families will receive 50 kg of flour, 4.55 kg of cooking oil, 6.25 kg of lentils, and 0.5 kg of salt for two months, distributed in a single round.
- Phase 2: 4,578 families will receive the same food items for one month.
- Phase 3: 3,296 families will receive these food items for one month.
- Phase 4: 10,436 families will each receive a cash amount of 2,900 Afghanis over the course of one month.
