Afghanistan Mine Action Program (MAPA) Stakeholders’ Meeting was Held

The Afghanistan Mine Action Program (MAPA), under the Directorate of Mine Action Coordination (DMAC) of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, along with the Mine Action Technical Center (MATC), UNMAS, UNAMA, implementing partners and other key stakeholders, convened a meeting at the MAPA Conference Hall with the participation of senior representatives.
The meeting focused on Afghanistan’s commitments within the framework of the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention, securing financial resources for ongoing and future mine action programs, strategies for resource mobilization, and the annual work plan for land release for the years 2025–2026.
Additionally, implementing partners presented updates on their activities, challenges and collaborations within the MAPA framework.
It is noteworthy that this meeting is considered a significant step toward reinforcing national and international commitments to mine action goals, emphasizing the importance of sustained cooperation and transparent communication among stakeholders.
