Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority Initiates Distribution of 19,522,800 AFN in Cash Assistance to 1,020 Needy Families in Paghman District, Kabul Province

Today in morning, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mulla Nooruddin Turabi, officially launched the distribution of cash assistance to 1,020 deserving families in Paghman District, Kabul Province. The event was attended by the ANDMA’s Kabul Provincial Director, Maulvi Najibullah Anwari, the Paghman District Governor, a representative from ActionAid and several tribal elders.
During the assistance distribution program, Alhaj Turabi Sahb elaborated on the details of the aid, stating that, under an agreement between ANDMA and ActionAid, each eligible family would receive 19,140 Afghanis in cash along with three high-quality blankets. The total allocated amount for these 1,020 families amounts to 19,522,800 Afghanis.
He expressed gratitude to ActionAid, the Afghanistan Financial Fund, and the OCHA office, noting that these contributions are part of a winter relief program aimed at supporting needy, deserving, and impoverished families. Additionally, he highlighted that ActionAid is providing similar assistance to vulnerable families in 15 other provinces across the country.
ANDMA’s Acting Head also mentioned the signing of agreements with various organizations and emphasized the importance of transparency in the aid distribution process.
On the same occasion, the ActionAid representative thanked ANDMA for its support and cooperation, stating, “We are always committed to delivering assistance to needy families during emergencies.”
Similarly, the Paghman District Governor expressed appreciation for ANDMA’s coordination and support, adding that the assistance is being distributed effectively to deserving, impoverished, and vulnerable families.
It is worth noting that the families benefiting from this aid expressed their joy and gratitude upon receiving the assistance. They also requested the continuation and expansion of such support in the future.
