The Director General of ANDMA Meets with the President of International NPA Organization

Today, on Sunday morning, the Director General of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, His Excellency Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met at his office with Mr. Russell, President of the Norwegian People's Aid (NPA) international organization in Afghanistan, along with officials from the Norway office, Mr. Qasim Hashmi and Mr. Darwin, and their accompanying delegation.

His Excellency Turabi stated that this authority always assures partner organizations and institutions of its full support and provides necessary facilities both at the central and provincial levels so that they can implement their projects on schedule. He further emphasized that the authority encourages organizations to make greater efforts to attract more budgets for the benefit of the country's people.

The Director General also mentioned that the authority has prepared a list of its priorities, which will be shared with them to serve as a guideline for their activities in those specific areas.

Meanwhile, Mr. Russell expressed special thanks for the continuous support provided by the authority's Director General. He stated that, thanks to the suitable working environment created by the authority, they will strive to attract even more funding and implement projects jointly through national mine action organizations.

Additionally, Mr. Darwin, an official from the Norway office, provided information about the organization's activities. He noted that this organization has been operating for 85 years, has carried out activities in 70 countries, and currently maintains active projects in 35 countries. He added that Afghanistan holds a top priority in the organization's strategy.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the gifts prepared by the Director General for the delegation were presented to the official from NPA's Norway office.
