The Acting Head of ANDMA Visited Two Water Canals in Farah City
Today, on Sunday, Honorable Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, during his ongoing visit to Farah province, inspected two water canals in Farah city.
During the visit, Alhaj Turabi Sahb closely examined the condition of the canals and discussed existing issues with the deputy governor of Farah. He assured the deputy governor that Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority would provide the necessary support for clearing sediment from these two canals in Farah city to ensure the safety of residents from the potential dangers of heavy rainfall and floods.
He further stated, “It is our responsibility to protect the people from hazards and safeguard citizens from threats caused by water.” At the conclusion of the visit, Alhaj Turabi Sahb tasked the Honorable Mawlawi Mohammad Israel Sayyar, Head of the Disaster Management Department of Farah province, with promptly conducting the necessary assessments and evaluations for the clearance of both canals using professional engineers, so that upon completion of the assessment, the cleaning process can commence in an organized manner.
