The Acting Head of ANDMA Visited the Helmand Provincial Disaster Management Directorate

On Saturday, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Honorable Alhaj Mulla Nooruddin Turabi, traveled to Helmand Province as part of a tour to several provinces aimed at improving the administrative operations of the authority’s provincial directorates. During this visit, he inspected the Helmand Provincial Disaster Management Directorate and reviewed its operational processes.
Alhaj Turabi Sahb met individually with each staff member of the directorate, listened to their concerns, suggestions and recommendations and encouraged them to deliver timely and effective services.
Additionally, Alhaj Turabi Sahb visited the warehouse of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority in Helmand Province. He provided necessary instructions to the relevant officials regarding the proper storage, organization and arrangement of food and non-food items, maintaining order and distributing essential supplies to those in need based on requirements. Furthermore, he ensured the delivery of all legislative documents to the provincial directorates, emphasized understanding the content of these documents, having them reviewed by the relevant director, implementing them, and maintaining proper archival of all documents.
During the visit, Alhaj Turabi Sahb also thoroughly reviewed the proper utilization of all published materials and the ongoing projects in the province.
It is worth mentioning that some time ago, delegations were sent from the central office to all provinces to monitor and evaluate operational processes. These delegations identified certain shortcomings in the provinces, which were communicated to all provincial directorates through a unified letter from the acting head of the authority. Instructions were provided to address these deficiencies. Currently, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority conducted a comprehensive review of the service delivery processes in Helmand Province to ensure these shortcomings were addressed.
The purpose of the Acting Head’s visit was to gather the opinions, concerns and suggestions of provincial staff, organize offices, create an orderly work environment, establish full coordination with provincial authorities, improve the archival system for documents, establish standardized warehouses, address deficiencies and implement preventive projects.
In conclusion, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority encouraged the staff of the Helmand Provincial Disaster Management Directorate to treat clients respectfully, perform tasks promptly without delay, utilize public resources appropriately, and adhere to administrative principles. He urged them to serve the people and leverage their professional expertise for the country’s progress. Additionally, he distributed cash assistance to the staff.
