ANDMA’s Acting Head Visits Sar-e-Pul Province After Inspecting Administrative Affairs in Jowzjan

Today, on Thursday, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Honorable Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, arrived in Sar-e-Pul province as part of his tour to several provinces to oversee and improve the administrative operations of the authority’s provincial directorates.
During his visit, Honorable Turabi Sahb inspected the Sar-e-Pul Provincial Directorate of Disaster Management and reviewed its operational processes. He met individually with each staff member, listened to their challenges, suggestions and recommendations and encouraged them to provide timely and effective services.
Additionally, Honorable Turabi Sahb visited the authority’s warehouse in Sar-e-Pul province and issued necessary instructions to the relevant officials regarding the proper storage, organization and distribution of food and non-food items to those in need. He also ensured the delivery of all legislative documents to the provincial directorates, emphasizing their proper understanding, review by the relevant officials, implementation and systematic archiving.
Furthermore, Honorable Turabi Sahb thoroughly monitored the effective utilization of all published materials and the ongoing projects in the province.
It is worth mentioning that some time ago, delegations were sent from the central office to various provinces to evaluate and monitor operational processes. These delegations identified certain shortcomings, which were communicated to all provincial directorates through a unified letter from the acting head, along with necessary directives to address them. During this visit, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority conducted a comprehensive review of the service delivery processes in Sar-e-Pul to ensure these shortcomings were resolved.
The purpose of the Acting Head’s visit was to gather the opinions, challenges and suggestions of provincial staff, streamline office operations, create an organized work environment, establish full coordination with provincial authorities, improve document archiving, establish standardized warehouses, address deficiencies and implement preventive projects.
During his visit, Honorable Turabi Sahb also met with the Deputy Governor of Sar-e-Pul, Honorable Molvi Khal Mohammad Haqqani. The meeting focused on discussing disaster management strategies, timely assistance to affected communities and the implementation of preventive projects to mitigate risks.
In conclusion, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority encouraged the staff of the Sar-e-Pul Provincial Directorate to maintain good conduct with clients, perform their duties promptly and without delay, use public resources responsibly, adhere to administrative principles, and serve the people diligently while utilizing their professional expertise for the country’s progress. Additionally, he distributed cash assistance to the staff.
