Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority’s Acting Head Praised by Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment

Today, On Wednesday afternoon, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Honorable Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with members of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, including the Head of the Financial Department, Shirin Agha Sakhi, the Head of International Relations, Sayed Javid Burhan, Haji Khan Mohammad, Haji Dawood, Haji Ziauddin, and Haji Mirza Popal at his office, where he was commended for his efforts.
During the meeting, Alhaj Turabi Sahb warmly welcomed the members of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment and stated that, under the compassionate directive of the Esteemed Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah protect him), 200 million Afghanis had been allocated for traders affected by the fire incident in Boldak. He emphasized that, following thorough assessments, these funds—equivalent to 30% of the traders’ losses—were distributed to the affected traders with complete transparency and integrity.
He further elaborated on the core activities of his authority, stating, “Addressing the challenges faced by people affected by disasters is our responsibility. We strive to provide assistance to the public through the Islamic Emirate’s budget or through coordination with other institutions.”
Regarding the certificate of appreciation, Alhaj Turabi Sahb remarked, “I accept this honor not for myself but on behalf of the IEA.”
In the same meeting, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Haji Khan Mohammad, praised the Acting Head’s efforts in addressing the challenges faced by traders affected by the Boldak incident. He stated, “The service you have rendered to the private sector is unprecedented in any government in Afghanistan, and it is truly commendable.”
Similarly, another member of the Chamber, Haji Ziauddin, shared, “When the Boldak fire broke out, I called Alhaj Turabi Sahb at 1 a.m., and, true to his commitment, he remained with the affected traders throughout the night.”
In conclusion, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Honorable Alhaj Mulla Nooruddin Turabi, was honored with a certificate of appreciation and gifts by the members of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, who also prayed for his well-being.
